Weight loss is never an easy journey. It requires a lot of bravery, hard work, and perseverance. From someone who has always struggled with his weight, I am always looking for resources, diets, and places I can inspire myself. However, every so often I stumble on a person who truly becomes my idol.
This is the case with a person named Lexi Reed from Indiana. On her Instagram account (@fatgirlfedup) Lexi has created a great deal of inspiration around her own personal weight loss journey. A statement in the bio on her account says that she’s lost a staggering “312lbs naturally by diet/exercise in 2 years!” Lexi’s photos inspire a great deal of motivation and inspiration when you look at them. In some of Lexi’s photos, she poses with her old clothes. You can see firsthand the dramatic transition from her start weight to her current weight.
Her husband, Danny Reed, has lost 95 lbs as well. On his Instagram account @discoveringdanny you can see photos of his own weight loss journey. Together the two of them encourage and inspire each other to be happier, healthier people. This is exactly the kind of encouragement I needed in my own weight loss journey. In the summer of 2007, I weighed in at 307 lbs. Over the past few years, I have struggled to keep encouraging myself to shed this weight.
In the past few years, I’ve managed to bring my weight down to 257 lbs. However, after stumbling upon Lexi Reed’s Instagram account, I think I’ve finally found the encouragement I’ve needed to continue on my own journey. According to her Instagram account, Lexi and Danny decided two years ago to: “…set a New Year’s Resolution that we had no idea would change our lives. Together we are proof that with hard work we can all take back our lives! Don’t wait for a new year, week, or month – start today!”
This year, I set my own New Year’s Resolution to lose weight and finally get motivated. Lexi also has a YouTube channel also called FatGirlFedUp that has over 30,000 subscribers. Some of her videos showcase her inspiring her fans, describing her journey to lose all her weight. Lexi explains in one of her videos: “What started out as a resolution became a lifestyle,” which is really the key to all of this.
I need to make this my lifestyle too. I’ve started running every other day, I’ve placed myself on a strict diet plan, and I’ve made it a goal to shed 60 lbs by the end of 2018. It is my hope that anyone who feels they could use some motivation in their physical health to reconsider any poor lifestyle choices and put some extra effort into living happier, healthier lives just like Lexi and Danny.
In Lexi’s video, she says that “In one year I completely changed my life.” It is my hope that I can do the same. I’ve entered a 5K marathon in October, and I intend to get myself in a place where physical activity is a top priority. I want it to become a part of my lifestyle.
Isn’t Lexi’s weight loss journey the greatest thing ever?
at least I think so. I afraid if I was her, I never have such a gut to lose weight anymore. I believe that many of us don't want to do anything anymore also most of us have no will to
go on .many of us only want to lose 10 pounds ,i have such experience, that is cycling, get a lovable bicycle, and hit the road.
i got one Highwing bike which i love so much,so most of the time i would go out and sweating i/o staying at home and get food from frigerator.that is the very important habit to avoid to stay at home all the time, just move your ass out .that is step one. once your ass is outside .at least you wouldn't have that easy to get food .
at the same time, you are exercise..no matter where you are. the Highwing bike is with you .so always hit the road. and sweating, that is what most important for me
